Kathryn Crandall, a teacher at Maple Mountain High School in Nebo School District, was recently named the recipient of the Utah Association Career and Technology Education Teacher of the Year Award from the Work-Based Learning Division at the UACTE Conference held in St. George.

Crandall was recognized for her efforts as a Family and Consumer Science teacher, the Career and Technology Education department head and an outstanding educator and supporter for work-based learning internships. Crandall has been teaching for 23 years and has been at Maple Mountain since 2009, when the school opened.

Crandall created and supervises the MMHS Eaglet Preschool and has presented at summer conferences for state FACS teachers. She assists sewing classes in making projects for Primary Children’s Hospital and works tirelessly to serve the students at Maple Mountain.
