The Week Ahead

r

This coming week crews will continue working at locations between 5th and 7th North and 1st and 2nd South along the east side of Main Street. In these work zones there will be no on street parking and driveway access may be limited at specific locations where crews are digging. Some of this work may take place at night.

Next week landscaping work will begin at Main Street and 10th North. No traffic impacts are expected.

Pedestrians

Crews will continue work on pedestrian ramps at the intersection corners along the east side of Main Street. This work will take place from 2nd South to 10th North.rPlease use the sidewalks on the west side of Main Street in these areas.

Project Overview

Sanitary Sewer Line Phase – Start April 11thrCrews will install new sewer lines between 1st & 2nd South, 4th & 5th North, 5th & 6th North, 6th & 7th North, and along 7th North from Main Street to 100 East.

UDOT Main Street Rehab Phase – Anticipated Start May 15thr• Reconstruct existing pedestrian ramps from 3rd South to 10thr• Add second northbound right turn lane from Main Street to 10thr• Curb and gutter work at 10th North and Main Streetr• Replace storm drain between 8th and 9th North along northbound lanesr• Reconstruct driveway approaches between 5th and 6th Northr• Replace one and a half inches of asphalt from 3rd South to 10th NorthrWork consists of replacing one and a half inches of pavement from 10th North to 3rd South along Main Street, and the addition of a second northbound right turn lane at 10th North. In addition to replacing the roadway surface, crews will reconstruct existing pedestrian ramps throughout the project. Curb and gutter, storm drain and driveway approaches will be replaced or repaired at specific locations.

During this project on-street parking will be affected in the area(s) where crews are working. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained during business hours. There may be short delays when crews are removing or replacing pavement, or trenching in front of driveway approaches.

Nighttime workrIncludes: Sewer trenching, installing sewer lines and the milling operations to remove pavement during the road rehabilitation phase.

r

Daytime workrIncludes: Filling and covering trenches, utility work, work to pedestrian ramps and asphalt paving operations.

r
