r Funky Fermata is pleased to share its uniquely American music – barbershop – at the Springville Senior Center, 65 E. 200 South, on Wednesday, June 1, at 6 p.m. The performance is free and open to the public.
An integral part of the local chapter of The Barbershop Harmony Society, the Utah Valley Chapter, and the Chapter Choir, the Skyline Chorus, Funky Fermata consists of a lead, Ed Hayward, and three gentlemen: Dallin Hill, baritone; Daniel Hicken, who sings the girls’ parts; and Gavin Lowry, the manly bass. Hailing from up and down the Wasatch Front, they’re proud to represent our communities’ barbershop tradition. Their repertoire ranges from classic barbershop to modern music (think Beatles) and even Disney favorites. Funky Fermata has made quite a splash since it formed three years ago. Featured in short documentaries, in music videos and at venues up and down the Wasatch, Funky Fermata is pleased to be sharing happy musical harmony as only barbershoppers can.
