Root beer floats made out of flowers. Princess Leia made out of Legos. Cars made out of apples. Capes and Trown (not sure what that is but kid was very excited about it) in Star Wars Art. A play practiced and performed at the end of two weeks. Playing “I’m a Loch Ness Monster” on the ukulele. An “Elephant and Piggie” mask and frog shirt in Kinder Arts. Making pixie dust and flower crowns in Fairy Art. Pom Pom Garlands in Pinterest Art. This is just a sampling of the things that make the Spanish Fork Youth Arts Festival full of excitement and wonder.
rThe Youth Arts Festival offers creative classes that kids can take to learn about different forms of art. The festival goes on for 2 weeks and classes are held every weekday. The classes are exciting with names like “Campology,” (making game boards) “Ukulele,” “Dancing Princesses,” “Mom and Me Quilting,” “Star Wars Art,” “Cupcake Wars”, and “Break Dancing.” Classes are available for children from ages 18 months to 18 years and this year they offered adult classes.rOn Friday, June 17th there will be a Youth Arts Festival sharing showcase with performances and arts displays throughout the day at Spanish Fork High School. You can come see the magical play in the theater, look and see the amazing quilts and flower designs that these fine students have worked hard to display. Don’t forget to witness the art of cupcake wars, where the mayor will come to judge. Witness the magic of Legos, Star Wars Art, and Ready Set Sew.rThe Visual and Literary Arts display and reception will be from 3:30-7:00. There will be quilts, lego mazes, puppy in basket floral arrangement, game boards, and so much more. Refreshments will be provided from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. Culinary Arts and Cupcake Wars will provide cookies and cupcakes.rThe Youth Theater Performance of “Aesop, Aesop,” reenacting Aesop’s fables will be performing at 11:00, 4:00, and 7:30.rYou can see the performing arts from 5:30 to 7:00. You can see princesses dancing, break dancing, hip hop, etc. Watch the amazing martial arts of Tae Kwon Do. Magic Tricks will be performed by the magic classes. The Ukelele class will be performing songs.rYou can see all these amazing wonders of art that all happened during the Spanish Fork Youth Arts Festival. You don’t want to miss it.
