Merit AcademyrADHD is a common behavioral disorder that affects around 11 percent of school-aged children. Boys are about three times more likely than girls to be diagnosed with it, though it’s not yet understood why.
Kids with ADHD act without thinking, are hyperactive and have trouble focusing. They may understand what’s expected of them but have trouble following through because they can’t sit still, pay attention or focus on details.
Join us for an evening of conversation with Dr. Ronald Jones on Monday, March 27, at 7 p.m. at Merit Academy, 1440 W. Center, Springville. Dr. Jones is a pediatrician whose practice focuses on helping youth with ADHD, ADD, depression and social and academic challenges.
Dr. Jones will discuss ways the whole family can help your child find confidence and their personal strengths even with challenges such as ADHD. He will focus on the tools and skills that parents and youth can learn to help them navigate through challenging situations.rCome learn about treatments from behavioral skills to medications that can help your child find confidence and success. There will be a question and answer period at the end. This event is free and designed for the whole family.
