r Robert Fleming was recently appointed by the Nebo School District Board of Education as human resource coordinator for the district. He will fill the vacancy left by Sandra Jarvis upon her retirement.
Fleming received his bachelor’s degree in history and his master’s degree in education leadership from Brigham Young University. He has worked for Nebo School District for 22 years: the last three years as principal at Salem Junior High School, the previous five years as principal at Spanish Fork Junior High School, and two years as assistant principal and one year as dean of students at Payson Junior High School. Fleming taught 12 years at Payson Junior High including history, geography and physical education. He also coached basketball, tennis and track.
Fleming thanked the school board and Ken Van Ausdal for this opportunity. “In any organization, it is the people that make the difference. I hope to help Nebo School District continue to attract, retain, reward and train great people to work with our students,” he said. “I will certainly miss my association with the students, parents and staff at Salem Junior High.”
