Spanish Fork Police seek information about Wells Fargo Bank Robbery

On May 20 at 10:28 a.m., officers from the Spanish Fork City Police Department and neighboring agencies responded to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 251 E. 1000 North on a report of a robbery. An unknown male individual entered the bank and provided a teller with a note stating, “This is a robbery provide me with $50’s and $100’s.” The word gun was also printed on the note. The suspect did not display a handgun. The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was wearing dark blue shorts, black T-shirt, tan hoodie with grey sleeves and hood. He is described as a light skinned Hispanic male with short black hair. He is approximately six feet tall and 160 pounds. Witnesses advised the age of the suspect as 20 to 25 years of age.

The male fled the area southbound on foot. It is unknown if he left the area in a vehicle. Officers from the Spanish Fork Police Department and neighboring agencies have searched the area, with assistance of canine units and have been unable to locate the suspect.

The employees of the bank were not injured.  Photos of surveillance footage are attached.

rThe suspect believed to be responsible for the robbery that occurred earlier today at the Wells Fargo Bank in Spanish Fork has been located and safely taken into custody. This afternoon at approximately 1:30 PM a Price City police officer noticed two individuals in the parking lot of Walmart in Price. The two individuals were attempting to hide from the officer as he was patrolling the parking lot of Walmart. They attempted to conceal themselves in a vehicle as the officer drove past the vehicle they were seated in. The two individuals left the parking lot in the vehicle and the Price officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle for a traffic offense.r

The two individuals provided the officer with false names. The two individuals were arrested for providing false identities to the officer. Inside the vehicle, a note matching a similar description to the one used in the Wells Fargo robbery was located. Several $50 and $100 bills were also located in the vehicle.

The suspect has been identified as 23-year-old Nicholas R. Mobley. Nicholas’s current address on an identification card provides an address for Denver, Colorado. The second individual has been identified as 25 year old Gregorio Efrain Gomez. Gregorio’s identification indicates an address for Grand Junction, Colorado.  Gregorio was allegedly the driver of a vehicle that was parked in the area of Wells Fargo Bank. The two individuals fled the area immediately after the robbery.

The two individuals have been booked into the Utah County Jail for the offense of robbery.
