On November 3, marching bands from all over Utah and neighboring states took to the fields of Dixie State University to compete for the Red Rocks Invitational State Championship. Bands are placed in categories according to size. This year’s State Champions just happen to both be from Spanish Fork. In category A- Spanish Fork High School, In category AA- Maple Mountain!

All the hard work in the sun has paid off. We are so proud of these kids for reaching this level of excellence that is a result of disciplined hard work, talented directors and staff and the dedicated support of parents. This has been an exercise in unity. Many people working as one, and the results have been amazing. The band is in search of more members. If you ask these kids if they would do it again they would say “in a heartbeat!” You will love it! And you will have friends for life.
