r Local children’s author Claressa Swensen has launched a Kickstarter campaign for her picture book, Little Bear and His Chair. Little Bear and His Chair is a short story about a little bear who doesn’t like to share. Complete with wonderfully detailed illustrations, the book was written to teach the value of friendship, as well as the importance of sharing.
Claressa has donated some of her books to Utah nonprofit Kids on the Move, and plans to donate copies of Little Bear and His Chair to the nonprofit as well. Kids on the Move provides services in Utah County to support families with young children with special needs. They rely on donations of time, money and materials to supplement the state and federal grants that support their programs.
Claressa Swensen resides in American Fork, Utah with her newborn and her two dogs. She has written four children’s books, including Teensy the Littlest Fairy and Dino Dino Doing Homework. Her books are currently available in seven Barnes & Noble locations across Utah. Her work has been featured in Readers Favorite and over 10 different reading blogs.
