In the spring of 1876, the Rev. George Leonard and his wife rented a two-room adobe home which served as the first meeting place for the local Presbyterian Church. Later they built the historic structure that still stands at 245 S. 200 E. in Springville.
For all these years the folks at the Springville Community Presbyterian Church have had their doors open to the community. We are a Christian church, a family of friends, and a place for renewal of the spirit.
We have a special invitation for you to Holy Week Services: Palm Sunday, March 25, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. George Lower (fellowship follows); Good Friday, March 30, at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Gil Lopez (light supper follows) and Easter, April 1, at 10:30 a.m. (brunch follows). If you are new to Holy Week: Palm Sunday celebrates Jesus’ arrival into Jerusalem. Good Friday is a remembrance of his death on the cross. Easter is, of course, a time to renew our faith as we rejoice in Christ’s resurrection.
Come join us! We are seeking to grow, and be a light in South Utah County.
