The Friends of the Springville Library are holding the Semi-Annual Book Sale November 8-9. The book sale is an opportunity for residents to purchase books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, etc., at bargain prices.

Hardback books will be $1 and paperback books will cost 50 cents. This sale will include a special collection of items offered matching online retailers prices. Save the $3.99 online shipping charge and buy local.

The Springville Library Semi-Annual Book Sale hours are Thursday, November 8, from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Friday, November 9, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Friends of the Springville Library is a non-profit group that volunteers at events and raises funds to enrich library offerings and services for all patrons. Some of the fundraising programs the Friends sponsor are:r

- The Friends Bookstore, located in the main entrance, always contains used books and magazines for sale. Donated and discarded books, DVD’s, etc. are made available for purchase six days a week. Simply pay at the front desk.
- Semi-Annual Book Sale, held twice a year (every June during Art City Days, and again in the Fall), a fundraising opportunity for residents to purchase books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, etc.  at bargain prices. Patrons are also encouraged to donate used books, CDs, DVDs, etc. are accepted at the library year round. Volunteers are always needed and welcome to help at the book sale.
- Annual Author Luncheon, a social event featuring a best-selling author and a great meal.
