2023 Fiesta Days Preview

The annual Spanish Fork Fiesta Days is just around the corner, so get ready for a week packed with family friendly fun and games that culminates with the nationally renowned Fiesta Days Rodeo. There’s something for everyone and many opportunities to get involved with local organizations and support local small businesses. Here is a sampling of some of the many great activities.

The annual Flag Retirement Ceremony will be held on July 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Spanish Fork Fairgrounds. This tradition pays respect to our country with the Utah Army National Guard, with assistance from the American Legion and local scout troops, properly retire hundreds of flags collected from throughout the community. The celebration features music from the National Guard’s 23rd Army Band, special guest speakers, community leaders, local veterans, and a 21-gun salute.  

Any personal flags in your possession in need of retirement may be dropped off pre-folded in the American Flag Collection Boxes at the Parks and Recreation Office at 775 North Main, or the Spanish Fork City Office located 40 South Main by July 10. Any groups interested in folding flags prior to the event from 5:30-7 p.m. can sign up through the Spanish Fork City website. Youth groups are encouraged to gather old flags to be retired and bring them pre-folded two hours before the ceremony to the north side of the arena. Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and others wanting to take part in the ceremony are asked to arrive by 7 p.m. in full uniform.

Some people do fireworks,but in Spanish Fork, we like to do fireworks to the beat of music! July 15 at the Sports Park Soccer Fields on 295 West Volunteer Dr. is where the famous PyroMusical is slated to take place. This exciting event where protechnics are combined with upbeat music is a fan favorite. Food and live entertainment will be available starting at 6 p.m. with the firework show starting shortly after dark. Come on down and enjoy local food trucks, local music talent, topped off with an impressive firework show.

Is your baby the cutest one around? Come prove it on July 18th in the Fiesta Days annual baby contest! Pre-registration is open now with walk-ins accepted as well. Judging takes place between 3 and 5 pm with the Spanish Fork City royalty and their mothers as the esteemed judges. The costume contest theme is ‘Right Where You Belong’. 

Sidewalk sales, craft fair, food vendors, and carnival on Spanish Fork Main street start on July 20 and run daily until July 24. 

Family Night in the Park on July 20 at 7:30 p.m. is looking to be a fun activity complete with clean stand up comedy. 

July 21st, at 7:30 on the stage at the Spanish Fork Park is the annual Spanish Fork’s Got Talent competition! Come on down and enjoy the amazing local talent Utah County has to offer.

July 22 is sure to be a full day of fun. There is  the car show starting at 8 a.m., a children’s parade at 9 a.m. with children’s activities starting shortly after. The the Miss and Mr. Extraordinaire Pageant will be happening at 6 p.m. and the night will finish up with the annual street dance at 8 p.m..

Sunday Night in the park will take place on July 23 at 7:30 p.m. and will feature live entertainment as well as the presentation of the Pioneer Spirit award.

July 24 starts early with the Speedy Spaniard races at 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. The SFHS Breakfast will follow at 8 a.m. with the Grand Parade slated to begin at 9 a.m. The evening will conclude with the Fireworks Spectacular Concert at 8 p.m. and Fireworks at 10 p.m.

The famous Fiesta Days Rodeo will take place from July 19 through the 22 and the 24. Tickets can be purchased here.

Spanish Fork City Community Theatre’s production of Matilda will run July 20 through July 22 and July 24 and July 27 through the 29. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
