Why I Believe in God

As I reach my 80th birthday, I look back and reflect on a wonderful and full life. Along Life’s journey I have a list of life saving or life changing events that were God blessed miracles. Not just random circumstance.

In January of 2024 my medical prognoses was that I would pass away in 2-4 week. The result of kidney failure and other medical conditions, including a brain concusion. My daughter, Jennifer, rushed to Provo from home in Portland to be with me before I passed away. She and her boyfriend, Eric, have been with me now for five months. My health has improved dramatically in those in those five months. The Physical Therapist that I been working with told Eric that he had never seen a patient with such rapid improvement in their health.

As of May 2024, I have been walking without the aid of a walker. My walking isn’t perfect and I have to be careful. In May I started attending events as I had in the past. I went on a Jeep club trip to my beloved San Rafael Swell. I attended the Salam High School Aviation Awards Ceramony, I participated in the local EAA Chapter meeting. The people around me are amazed, as I am also. My health and activities of this month are testimony that I have experienced a God blessed miracle. I can’t help but think about that as I continue life’s Journey.

There are many stories and video dramatizations of miracle events. My favorite is The Cokeville Miracle, book and video. Now, I am a member of that group of people who admit to having experienced a God blessed miracle. Many of us can think back about events where the outcome was a miracle of survival. It could not all be by random chance. It has to be the result of Gods hand in our lives.

Last fall when I first stared to realize the many miracles in my life story, a man who I have known since he was a teenager, commented that he did not remember me as a religious man, what happed? My reply was that I had gotten older. Many events in my life I now appreciate as God blessed miracles that I am forever grateful for. That is why I am more religious now than I was twenty years ago. That is why I believe in God and my Guardian Angel. I have experienced the voice prompting my action. Janice my wife knows many examples of what I write about today.

Part of my mission now is to share with others that Gods miracles are real, and your faith in Jesus Christ needs to be an essential part of how you live your life. I am here for a reason, as are all of us. We should be working and praying diligently for Christ like behavior to serve our neighbors with there needs. The reward is in serving.

Think about the God blessed miracles in your life’s journey. It will change your life.
