As we celebrate the arrival of spring, we recognize the needs that families have that extend beyond weekend fun and adventures. Mindful of the financial challenges of our current economy, as well as the the need for fun and frolic, Pando is hosting the second Annual Send Fest, which is a 2- hour climbing centered, service-centric activity.
The Send Fest combines the challenge of climbing as many routes as you can in Rock Canyon, American Fork Canyon and Maple Canyon with opportunities for donating food to the Utah Food Bank, raising money for the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance, donating needed personal hygiene items to the Chainbreaker Foundation and helping with Rock Canyon trail upkeep/maintenance.
While this sounds like a lot to do in 24 hours, it will be worth it! All of the activities that you choose to participate in will earn points that will be converted to raffle tickets and used to give out prizes at the afterparty BBQ. We will also have a “Gym to Crag” clinic and an “Intro to Rock Climbing “ clinic for those who want to learn or add to their climbing knowledge.
The cost for participating in the Spring Send Fest is $15 per person, $10 of which goes directly to the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance. Pricing for the “Gym to Crag” clinic is $20 per person for six hours of instruction and the “Intro to Rock Climbing” clinic is $10 for three hours of instruction.
