On Saturday, October 10th, up to 15,000 participants will create what organizers believe will be one of the largest coordinated patriotic demonstrations in Utah history. The event, organized by Active Impact and supported by Americaās Freedom Festival, Colonial Flag, and America 250 Utah, will unite Utah County residents to form a continuous U.S. flag chain spanning 17.76 miles along the Murdock and Provo River Trails from Lehi to Provo.
At 10:30 a.m., participants will be positioned along the trails toĀ hold the flags aloft for 15 minutes while drone cameras capture the spectacle from above. The visual will showcase a river of red, white, and blue flowing through the heart of Utah County.
“This is a chance for Utah County communities to come together in a powerful, visible declaration of gratitude for the freedoms we share,” says Greg Cronin, Founder/CEO of Active Impact.
Participation is open to people of all ages and abilities. To register and learn more, visit standforfreedomutah.org.
