Meals on WheelsrDeliver meals to homebound seniors in our community! Meals on Wheels is looking for volunteers who can donate an hour a week during their lunch hour.rMeals on Wheels Volunteers:r*give one hour once a week between 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.r*are assigned a delivery day Monday through Friday, except for holidaysr*deliver to 8-12 seniors per route, taking approximately an hour to deliverr*make a difference with just an hour a week!rVolunteers are need in every city in Utah County. Cleaning up Historic Payson Main StreetrVolunteers needed on an ongoing basis. Please help our community as we strive to breathe life into our historic down town area. Over the years the wind has brought dust and debris like an unwanted guest. We are seeking help to clean up our downtown as much as possible. Website Developer for Fresh Start VenturesrOur goal is reducing recidivism in the state of Utah by addressing core needs and helping incarcerated individuals transition by assisting with resources, housing, education, employment, and business development.rWe provide mentors and community support. Adopt a Shoreline at Utah LakerThe Utah Lake Commission is looking for organizations that are interested in adopting access points to Utah Lake as part of the Utah Lake Adopt-the-Shoreline Program. Interested organizations will commit to organize at least three large cleanup activities each year at the assigned access point. These cleanups should occur between early spring and mid fall. Driver for cancer patients American Cancer SocietyrMake a cancer patient’s journey a little easier by driving them to their appointments. The American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program volunteers pick people up from home, bring them to their treatments and back. Patients are often unable to make it to their appointments because they have no way to get there. Drivers are required to have a reliable vehicle, current license, registration and insurance, complete a background check and complete online training. Sew Much HoperConsider putting that old sewing machine to good use by donating it to Sew Much Hope. Many machines can be outfitted with hand cranks for communities without stable electricity. I’m willing to pick up and transport your machine to Sew Much Hope. Contact Paulette Patterson at 801-361-9003.

Vision Screening for Preschools in South Utah CountyrFriends for Sight preschool vision screening programs are the first step to making sure our children can see. That’s why we need you-we need volunteers who are willing to screen at 2-4 preschools a month for just a couple hours each time. We will schedule the schools in your area and you’ll sign up for schools that fit your availability. You will be trained on how to perform a vision screening, and will always have at least one partner to consult if you have any questions. Contact Kristen at preschool@friendsforsight.org.

Tutor local children through RSVPrRSVP connects you with a school local to you that has students in need of extra attention 1-2 hours a week. RSVP is one of the largest senior volunteer organizations in the country. RSVP places volunteers 55+ where they are needed most in the community. Days for GirlsrThe Days For Girls mission is creating a world with dignity, health, and opportunity for all, through sustainable menstrual care solutions and health education. Items to work on include both sewing and non-sewing items. If you would like to help give dignity to girls and help them receive an education by allowing them to be able to continue attending school with the proper feminine hygiene products, please join us.
