Miss Springville/Mapleton 2015 Madison Monson, along with the other local titleholders in the Miss Utah Organization, has partnered with the nonprofit Power2Become in an effort to collect shoes to benefit the people of Burkina Faso, West Africa. Donated shoes will be used to bring clean water, food and education to people living there. Last year, the Miss Utah Organization collected more than 100,000 pairs of shoes.

Donated shoes can be any size or style in a wearable condition. Monson has drop-off boxes in the Springville and Mapleton city office buildings. If you would like to schedule a pickup, contact her at madisonmonson@gmail.com. Donations will be accepted through the end of March.

Your support and generosity is greatly appreciated in this great opportunity to serve the people of Africa.
