On November 12, Jimmy John’s held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new franchise location at 1025 W. 800 S. in Payson, Utah. Residents of Payson and surrounding areas expressed their excitement at having another quick and convenient option for lunch or dinner. The new Payson Jimmy John’s employs just over 40 people and is a valued addition to the local economy.

The Jimmy John’s sandwich franchise prides itself in using fresh ingredients and filling customer orders “Freaky Fast.” Each day, workers arrive early in the morning so they can bake fresh bread, slice meat, and prepare fresh veggies for sandwiches. They also offer whole loaves of fresh or day-old bread for purchase. The beloved sandwich shop is a welcome addition to Payson’s growing selection of eateries and restaurants.

Danny Clark, one of Jimmy John’s founders, expressed his excitement for opening another franchise location in Utah County.

“We’ve wanted to be in Payson for a long time,” he said. “We love the Payson area and we finally found a space that worked for us. We just appreciate your support and we hope to be able to return the favor and be a part of your family and all of the events that you guys have here.”

Juan Mora, the area manager for Payson Jimmy John’s and the whole Utah County District, expressed similar sentiments.

“I’ve lived in Payson for a couple of years, so we’re very happy knowing that we’re coming here and will be involved with the community,” he said. “We’re excited to be part of Payson.”

Mora has over 20 years of experience in the restaurant business and approximately five years with Jimmy John’s. He knows what it takes to get a new business in the food industry off to a good start. He expressed his appreciation for the community members who showed up to the Jimmy John’s grand opening.

“People are very happy, and we’re very happy with the turnout!” he beamed.

For those who haven’t ever experienced a Jimmy John’s sandwich, there’s always time to give it a try. If you’re looking for a kid-friendly option, you can’t go wrong with the Pepe (#1). It’s a classic ham and cheese sandwich made with delicious, hand-sliced provolone cheese and smoked ham. It also comes with fresh-sliced tomato and lettuce and a generous helping of Hellmann’s® mayonnaise.

The Beach Club (#12) is a favorite menu item for adults. This sandwich is prepared with hand-sliced turkey breast, creamy avocado spread, and provolone cheese. Freshly sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and lettuce make this a hearty and healthy sandwich that you can customize to your liking.

In addition to making deliciously fresh sandwiches, Jimmy John’s also offers catering, Mora explained.

“We can do anywhere from 5-box to 500-box lunches. We can make it happen,” she said.

Clark revealed yet another tasty surprise during the grand opening. In March, Jimmy John’s will introduce hot sandwiches chain-wide!

Next time you’re in the Payson area looking for a quick and tasty lunch or dinner idea, head over to Jimmy John’s. They’re sure to have something on their menu that will please even the pickiest eaters in your family.
