Nephi opens new soccer fields at Town Square

Nephi held its Town Square Soccer Field Grand Opening on April 23 at 6 p.m. These are the first community-based soccer specific fields in Juab County. The project was funded by the Parks, Arts, and Recreation (PAR) Tax passed next year.

Families enjoyed food, activities and a visit from Real Salt Lake’s Leo the Lion.

“Nephi City is pleased to renovate an underutilized park by creating soccer fields. The fields will be lighted and are in the heart of the town at Town Square Park.  They will serve as a gathering place for youth and families for years to come. This project was funded by Parks Arts and Recreation (PAR) Sales Tax. We’re excited to have our first soccer-specific fields,” said John Bradley, Recreation Director.

With more soccer fields available, youth soccer will now expand to be played in the spring and fall.
