The ALA Theatre Department proudly presents The Canterville Ghost. The play is a comedy based on the short story by Oscar Wilde. It centers on the Otises, an American family that buys English manor which is haunted by Sir Simon de Canterville. Sir Simon expects to scare the family away easily, but his plan is frustrated when the Otises refuse to be scared, and even try to make friends with him! Wilde’s witty wordplay and the spectacular theatrics of the ghost combine to make The Canterville Ghost a delightful experience for the entire family.

Josephsen. The show’s director, Sandra Millet, says “It has been an incredible journey watching this show come together. The lighting design, sound design and set add so much to an already charming story. I have been directing at the high school level for 13 years now, and I have never worked on a show where so many creative minds have come together with a unified vision the way this group has. I am so excited to get to show it off for audiences.”

This production stars Aidan Carter, Hyrum Davis, Trinity Johnson, Maelee Jones, Raelynn McLaughlin, Elizabeth Petrucka, Nathan Schaffer and Devin Tanner. Performances are at 7:00 pm on February 7,8, and 11, and at 2:00 pm on February 9.
