Spanish Fork’s Fiesta Days showed once again that ‘Spanish Fork’s Got Talent.’ The festival’s talent competition that took place the evening of July 23, featured a dozen competitors who took the stage to showcase their talents from singing to dancing, to family musical numbers, rock bands, and even an Elvis impersonator.
The stakes were high, with first place winning $300, second place $200 and third place $100, with the top three finishers getting the chance to sing on a float during the Grand Parade.
Serve Daily was able to connect 22-year-old Noah Losito who took second place with his croony rendition of “Feeling Good” by Michael Bublé.
“I just thought it would be something to get me out of my comfort zone,” Losito said. “My parents are always trying to push me to get my voice out there because they think that I should be doing something with it.”
Losito said that he has been singing since he was a child, but did it on his “own personal time” and not in front of others.
“Technically, I’ve been singing since I was like 10 years old, but I’d never really done it in public,” he said. “I usually did it on my own personal time, just kind of as a car singer or shower singer. My parents heard me sing and they wanted me to branch out and try new things. I’ve sung in a couple school talent shows and on a cruise, but that’s about it.”
Trying new things for Losito also comes with a lot of “old” tunes and somewhat “older-sounding” songs.
“I’m a big fan of old songs,” Losito said. “I’m a bit of an old soul kind of person. I do like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin – you know, things like that. When I was young, my grandfather was big into that old stuff, and he always had me listen to it. I grew up in a super Italian household, so Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin were played all the time. And so because I grew up in New Jersey, (my grandpa) would always play them for me. I just grew to really love this type of music.”

Loving to sing this type of music in your car or shower is far different than singing on a stage, and he said that he was a little nervous. But once he got on stage, he was cool as ever, hitting the long, low notes that captured the audience and judges alike. When it was all said and done, and Losito was awarded with the chance to sing in front of even more people, he said that he was excited and grateful for the opportunity.
“I was getting told that there were about 35,000 people at the parade, and I’ve never actually performed in front of an audience that big, so it was a little nerve-wracking,” Losito said. “But it was actually super fun to do it once I started singing. It was definitely an opportunity I’ll never forget.”
Losito is also hoping to make it so that people don’t forget him, or at least have a desire to hear more. He has posted a few of his local performances on his Instagram account @noahflsinger03 and says that he plans to make a Christmas album. He also said that he is interested in working behind the scenes.
“I’ve definitely thought about pursuing music as a career, and I’ve looked into producing my own music as well,” he said.
