Festival Latino americano planned Sept. 2, 3 & 5

Centro Hispano has announced the 15th annual Festival Latino americano (Latin American Festival) will take place on Sept. 2, 3 and 5 at the Utah County Historic Courthouse Grounds in downtown Provo.
“For three days, Provo will embody the heart of Latin America,” said Edgar Zurita, Festival Latinoamericano president. “The pulsing rhythms, vibrant dances, delicious food and colorful costumes will transport you to a Latin getaway in the heart of downtown Provo during our quinceañera, our 15th year.”
Festival Latinoamericano celebrates the cultural contributions made by the growing Hispanic community in Utah. This free, family-friendly event provides traditional foods and dynamic performances from all over Latin America as well as information from community partners and organizations.
“As Centro Hispano, our mission is to empower individuals and families to improve their lives and the community through educational programs, professional services, and cultural experiences,” said Adrian Escalante, Executive Director of Centro Hispano.

Festival Latinoamericano kicks off the festivities on Friday, Sept. 2, at 6 p.m. A special musical performance will take place on Sunday, Sept. 4. All vendors are open every day except Sunday.
The 2016 Festival Latinoamericano will include:

• Informational booths with community resources
• And other surprises
