THRILLER: THE FINAL DANCE Celebrating 10 Years of a Spring Gardens Tradition

When Spring Gardens Assisted Living in Mapleton opened its doors 11 years ago, our activity director had a dream. With her love of dance and of Halloween, she wanted to teach the residents a seated version of Michael Jackson’s iconic “Thriller” dance and have them perform it for their families.

The performance was an absolute hit. Everyone loved it.

What began as a small performance for residents and their families, soon grew into something much bigger. Over the past decade, our Thriller tradition has become a community celebration filled with costumes, laughter, music, and memories.

Now, after 10 incredible seasons, it’s time for one final dance.

We invite you to join us Monday, October 12, from 4–6 p.m. at Spring Gardens Assisted Living in Mapleton as we celebrate our 10th and final season of Thriller.

The zombies take the stage at 4 p.m., and this year we have a special addition to our zombie crew: Mapleton Mayor Therin Garrett will be dancing with us!

Bring the whole family and enjoy trick-or-treating for the kids, carnival games, music, a themed spook alley, and a free dinner.
