We are excited to spotlight Mr. Lucas Adams, a dedicated and inspiring educator in the Nebo School District.
Mr. Adams is our automotive mechanical repair teacher here at the Advanced Learning Center. His classes are highly sought after and a favorite among students. Mr. Adams teaches Introduction to Automotive and the Advanced Auto Service Technician Mechanical classes.
These sequential courses are designed to prepare students to engage in the servicing and maintenance of all types of automobiles, based on the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) task list.
Mr. Adams’ students learn the principles of automotive braking, including hydraulic theory, diagnosis, and service of brake systems. Work ethics and productivity are an integral part of the classroom, as well as lab activities.
Mr. Adams teaches students life skills on how to fix their car, including tire rotation, bake maintenance, switch out engines, clutches and transmissions. He also works with students to get their Snap-on 525 Multimeter Certification (EEDM525F), which is a specialized training program focusing on advanced electrical diagnostics for automotive and transportation technicians.
During class, automotive students work on “anything that has wheels or an engine,ā including RC cars, electric cars, bikes, scooters, lawn mowers, longboards, snow mobiles, cars, trucks, weed wackers, Jet Ski.
Like all of our ALC teachers, Mr. Adams brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his teaching, making a significant impact on his students’ learning experiences. His commitment to student success, and he continually encourages each to take classes that (they) are interested in, and make sure that is something you want to do for the rest of your life.”
Now in his sixth year at the ALC, Mr. Adams is a favorite among students and faculty. It is our great privilege to honor Lucas Adams as Serve Daily’s Teacher of the Month.
