Hannah Tervort is an outstanding teacher. She does a lot for students, parents, and other teachers. In her classroom, she builds positive relationships with students. Those relationships give her students the courage to work their hardest and give her their best work. Students love her class and learn a lot from her. In addition to her great work in the classroom, Hannah has taken on extra responsibilities in our school. She is in charge of our student council and yearbook staff. This is a big job and she does it well, with ease, and makes it look easy.
Hannah is a leader among teachers and a positive role model for students. She has high expectations for her students and has a no-nonsense approach. Mrs. Tervort also helps our school by managing our faculty fund. Each teacher contributes to the fund to provide gifts, flowers, or other items to staff members for events in their lives. These events range from weddings, to babies being born, to funerals, and more. This is yet another example of how helpful and dedicated to our school Mrs. Tervort is.
Each Monday afternoon teachers at Payson Jr. High School meets together in collaboration. During this time teachers meet with other teachers that teach the same subject and they discuss ways to strengthen their curriculum or engage students better. Mrs. Tervort is a valuable member of her team and contributes much to the work that they do together. She has contributed time, materials, and energy in an effort to make the learning process for students better and more efficient.
Our school would definitely be a different place without Mrs. Tervort.
