CERT training: Be prepared not scared

Springville Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will start classes Thursday, February 7, at 6:45 p.m. in the training room in the fire station at 75 West Center St.

The CERT program lasts for 8 weeks and will be taught every Thursday, except on Valentines Day, February 14. If you miss the class on February 7, feel welcome to attend on February 21. You will be able to make up that first introductory class.

The aim of CERT is to give you the skills to take care of yourself, your own family and your neighbors in the event of a disaster that would overwhelm the first responders in our community. The hands-on training is fun and satisfying.

The cost is $25 per individual or $40 for a couple. If you have previously taken CERT, come and refresh your skills for FREE!
