Mooyah Burgers partners with Community Action to help hungry

r Mooyah Burgers, Fries & Shakes in Provo is teaming up with Community Action Services and Food Bank to provide food to the hungry this winter season.
Customers who bring cans of food to donate to the restaurant will get discounts on future visits. “For every can of food you get a one dollar off bounce-back coupon to be used through March,” said Mooyah franchise owner Will Page. A limit of 5 coupons can be used per transaction.
Mooyah will be collecting food at their Bulldog Blvd location through December 31. Their goal is to collect 500 cans.
Page said he decided to run the food drive after reading about Community Action’s needs. “I saw in the paper they were looking for donations so we thought we’d help them out a bit,” he said.
Mooyah Burgers, Fries & Shakes offers made-to-order burgers, french fries hand cut from Idaho potatoes and real ice cream shakes. “We cook just about everything fresh in the house,” Page said. Guests can choose from five real cheeses, bacon, avocado, chili and more than 20 free sauces and topping.
