Woodland Hills Celebrations

r By Hilarie OrmanrThe city of Woodland Hills will celebrate the 37th year since its incorporation with community activities on September 9 and 10. The town’s first mayor, Lamont Oviatt, will be the grand marshall of the parade on Saturday morning in a circuit that will go twice around the city’s community center. Cars, trucks, bikes, tractors, motorized wheelchairs, and Segways are welcome in this short event.

A new event this year will be the display of classic cars and a competition for several trophies. Cars from decades past will park along Highland Drive for the viewing public’s inspection and evaluation.

All the events, including a movie, a family dance, booths withe local wares, food trucks, a dinner and a breakfast, and bouncing and climbing equipment, will be at the community center. See http://www.woodlandhillsdays.info for the full schedule.

The Woodland Hills City Council, the Mayor, and the volunteer fire departments and EMT’s are the hosts for celebration.
