SPANISH FORK, UT – The Athlete Development Center (ADC) held its grand opening on October 28th, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. The event featured games, prizes and food, along with the public’s first look inside the completed indoor sports training center.
ADC has something for everyone. Athletes and teams can train indoors during the winter months while taking advantage of certified sports performance coaches year-round. Individuals and groups can attend small group fitness sessions and recreational sports activities to promote being active. The vision of the sports facility is to provide the opportunity for youth and adults to reach their athletic/fitness goals. “We want to give local athletes the best chance to reach their potential, and this facility will provide them with the materials to get there,” said Owner Cameron Gunter about his motivation for building ADC.
Housed inside ADC is the 25,000 square foot ForeverLawn Field, a state of the art rubber infill turf for sports training. The field accommodates 6 retractable batting cages, a full-size baseball infield, or a small soccer field. With a center ceiling height of 33+ feet, ADC can support almost any sporting event.
Just off the field, is the Human Performance Lab where youth and adults can train for better, strength, fitness, speed, agility or vertical jump. The lab is run by EXOS certified performance coach Ben Sinegar, who will oversee small group training sessions built around the individual.
Three retail spaces make up the front of ADC, including a milk bar, physical therapy and a sporting goods store.
